Research help is available at the Library Services Desk during library hours. See Library Hours or call 330-941-3686 for more information.
Library staff will assist all patrons who require help in locating information using the resources of the library, regardless of their affiliation with the University. However, the emphasis of our service is assistance and instruction to our students, faculty and staff.
Government Documents Reference
Maag Library is a Federal Depository Library. Federal Depository Libraries are required to offer free, public access to their government document collections. Public patrons may obtain telephone, email, or in-person assistance with government documents by contacting the Government Documents Librarian directly: Christine Adams / cmadams02@ysu.edu / 330-941-9681. Telephone Reference
Telephone reference service is available by calling 330-941-3686. Staff are unable to handle extensive reference questions over the telephone. In-depth questions are best handled through Ask A Librarian or an in-person visit.
Ask A Librarian
Maag Library provides an Ask A Librarian email service to the students, faculty and staff of Youngstown State University. Research Appointments
Appointments with reference librarians for individualized research help are available. Make an in-person or virtual appointment using our Research Appointment Request Form, or Contact a Subject Librarian directly.
