Course Reserves
Course reserves are a collection of textbooks and course-related materials that check out for different loan periods than Maag's regular collection. They are available for checkout at the Library Services Desk and the CRC Circulation Desk located in Beeghly Hall.
Loan Periods
Most reserves checkout for 3 hours. At the discretion of the instructor, some materials may have longer loan periods of 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days.
Placing Materials on Reserve
Faculty may place course-related materials on reserve by completing the Course Reserves Request Form. Maag Library reserves the right to decline requests that do not meet Fair Use copyright guidelines (for details visit the Association of College & Research Libraries Fair Use Guide. Materials borrowed through OhioLINK or Interlibrary Loan cannot be placed on reserve. It may take up to 3 business days to process reserves requests.
Reserve Textbook Policy
If an introductory class has 50 students or more, Maag Library may be able to purchase the textbook for checkout through Course Reserves. Textbook purchases outside these guidelines may also be considered. A faculty member may also donate a personal copy of a textbook for Course Reserves. For more information, please call 330-941-3806.
