OhioLINK Borrowing Service
Current students, staff, faculty, YSU retirees, Alumni Association members, and Friends of Maag Library may borrow items from another OhioLINK Library IF the item is not available through the MaagNET Catalog. Items available from other Ohio institutions can be searched through the OhioLINK Catalog. Items may be requested through the catalog to be delivered to an OhioLINK destination of your choice. OhioLINK Requests
To request an item from the OhioLINK Catalog:
- Click the “Libraries have this item” link.
- Scroll down the list of libraries to see if a copy is AVAILABLE.
- If AVAILABLE, click the green REQUEST button.
- Select “Youngstown State” as your institution.
- Enter your name.
- Enter your YSU ID# ("Y" number).
- Select where you want your item(s) delivered – default is YSU.
- Submit the request.
- Receipt of a successful request is indicated.
- A YSU email will be sent when your item(s) arrive.
Viewing Request Status
To track the status of an OhioLINK request:
- Go to your Library Account
- Type in your name and YSU ID# ("Y" number).
- Submit the request.
- Click the “requests (holds)” link.
- Title, status, and pickup location will be noted.
- Status possibilities: REQUESTED, IN TRANSIT or OHIOLINK RECVD.
- OHIOLINK RECVD indicates the item is ready for checkout.
- Don’t forget to logout of your Library Account.
