The YoCo Education Department announced changes in its enrollment set-up, while Army ROTC saw its membership
grow to 260 cadets. Library training was offered to YoCo liberal arts students. “Dike” Beede signed on for another
three years as the college’s head football coach and the History Department’s E.B. Smith, Jr. was selected for
seminar training by the U.S. Department of State. President Jones was honored at the annual Spring Forum and the
Ford Homestead on Wick Avenue (next to Pollock Hall) was donated to the college through a gift from Judge John W. Ford
and Mrs. Benjamin L. Agler.
