YSU Theses
The successful completion of a number of programs at Youngstown State University requires the writing of a thesis. A copy of each completed thesis is kept in the University Archives. These include bachelors, masters, and doctoral level theses.
Theses are cataloged in MaagNet and are searchable by author, title, or department/ school within YSU. A keyword search can be used to find theses on a particular topic. For a list of all theses on file at the masters level, do a subject search using the term Theses Masters.
An author search using the name of the school can also be used. For example, entering Youngstown State University, Rayen School of Engineering will produce a list of theses from that school. The results from this search can then be limited by date or keyword.
All theses are kept in the University Archives. To locate a thesis, the individual number of the thesis is needed. These numbers are available in the catalog record in MaagNet. Bring the number of the thesis to the Archives and Special Collections Department on the 5th floor of Maag Library to view the thesis.
Additionally, theses are in the process of being digitized and will be available (full text) through the OhioLINK Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) site. You may search by keyword or browse by author or institution. (Electronic Theses are in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view full text). Masters Theses are also available on YSU's digital respository, Digital.Maag
